2023-2024
Impact Report
鈥淚t is with great pride that I present the AY23-24 Annual Report for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). This year has been marked by significant transitions, all of which build on the rich history and legacy of our unit鈥攁 history that stretches back over five decades and reflects our commitment to high-quality education and student success.鈥
In July 2023, eCampus was integrated under the newly established Center for Teaching and Learning. This reorganization was not just a structural change; it was a strategic move to broaden the scope of our work while preserving eCampus鈥檚 legacy as a leader in online education and innovation. The CTL now stands as a comprehensive hub, encompassing a range of initiatives that support faculty development, teaching excellence, and student engagement and success that span all learning modalities.
Our journey began in 1970, with the delivery of correspondence courses, TV-based instruction, and audio courses through the 有料盒子视频 Rural Teacher Training Corps and other early distance education efforts. By 1987, these efforts were consolidated into the Center for Distance Education and Independent Learning, following state budget cuts that led to the creation of the College of Rural 有料盒子视频. This consolidation marked a significant milestone, as it brought together distance delivery programs under one umbrella, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become eCampus.
Over the years, we have seen many transformations. In 2012, the Center for Distance Education was renamed 有料盒子视频 eLearning & Distance Education, reflecting our growing focus on online learning. In 2018, we embraced the name eCampus and under the leadership of visionary directors, eCampus continued to evolve. By May 2020 we were supporting 50 fully online asynchronous programs and degrees.
The establishment of the Faculty Accelerator in February 2020 and the launch of the 有料盒子视频X initiative in April 2020 were pivotal moments in our history, further expanding our reach and impact. These initiatives, along with others detailed in this and previous reports, have established us as leaders in both traditional and non-traditional education ecosystems.
Since becoming Executive Director, my focus has been on building upon this rich legacy. The reorganization under the CTL has allowed us to expand our online asynchronous programs to 60, extend our global reach to over 210 countries, improve collaboration across all 有料盒子视频 campuses, provide stronger support for faculty, and promote a more interactive learning environment that benefits all students.
As you review this year鈥檚 Annual Report, I hope you will appreciate the depth of our history and the breadth of our accomplishments. Our progress is a testament to the dedication and hard work of each member of our team, and it sets a strong foundation for the future.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration as we continue to advance the mission of 有料盒子视频.
