Campus Life
Living on campus is a proven way to help students succeed academically, connect with
their peers and engage with campus life. That’s why ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ recommends all first-year
students live on campus. Fun fact: ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ’s residence halls are the only ones in the
nation to boast a view of the ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Range and Denali — the highest peak in North
America.
ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ offers a variety of dining locations for students — both living on campus and commuting to campus. Wood Center's Dine 49 facility has several types of fare, including Mongolian grill, homestyle meals, deli sandwiches and wraps, pizza and pasta, and a salad bar. At Arctic Java, ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ’s main coffee spot, students enjoy early-morning and late-evening service, as well as special events and programs on the coffee house stage. Other retail options available at Wood Center include freshly-made sushi and American favorites off the grill.
Health and Safety
The mission of the ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Student Health and Counseling Center is to help all ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ students connect to the resources they need to ensure their mental, physical and emotional health on campus. Health and Counseling offers multiple services right on campus, including medical care and counseling with the student insurance plan.
ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ proudly keeps a safe and secure campus, with our own police force right next door to the ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ residence halls. For more information about safety, crime statistics and the campus police visit the ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Police website. The ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ police force offers several safety services, including police escorts. Campus Parking Services even offers vehicle jumpstarts.
