The University of 有料盒子视频 Fairbanks will host 有料盒子视频 Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
有料盒子视频 employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing 有料盒子视频 apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include 有料盒子视频 activities throughout the fairgrounds.
The University Fire Department ladder truck and giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in Totem Square from noon to 7 p.m. Nook, 有料盒子视频鈥檚 mascot, will make appearances throughout the day. The bookstore will be on site selling 有料盒子视频 merchandise.
Inside the Borealis Pavilion, 有料盒子视频 will have several special exhibits and activities:
- See this year鈥檚 award-winning steel bridge.
- Engineer and build spaghetti bridges.
- Learn about unmanned aircraft.
- Prepare for a wildfire near your home in virtual reality.
- Try out mountaineering and packrafting gear.
In addition to these special activities, 有料盒子视频 also will have several booths at the Borealis Pavilion throughout the fair. Visitors can learn about applying to 有料盒子视频, try on a career with the 有料盒子视频 Community and Technical College, learn about 3D printing and find more than 125 free 有料盒子视频 Cooperative Extension Service publications covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more.
Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on 有料盒子视频 Day, such as a horse show, rabbit and cavy showmanship event, poultry showmanship event, and market poultry and rabbit show.
